The Cleveland Flea - A HOT Success!

People weren't really interested in buying blankets on a SEVENTY-FIVE degrees day. Noted.

However, they were thankfully interested in shutters, card catalogs, marquee letters, lanterns, frames, watering  cans, old wire baskets, moccasins, and old metal cabinets...

...and turquoise earrings! Talk about HOT!

Despite the lack of blanket buyers, my first attempt at selling clothes (sweaters, plaid shirts and vintage tees) went pretty well!

And I was soooo excited that the vintage Mirro kitchen timer went to this guy... it coudn't have found a better home!

My dad did a lot of buying...from the food vendors! Banana frittata, beer, ice cream, pierogies, danish... I think he sampled them all! It's very clear who I get my eating habits from.

And this guy! He buzzed around all day then came and worked my booth at the end of the day so I could walk around real quick. I feel so confident when I leave the booth and hear him announcing "Husband Special here! Make an offer...any offer...it's yours!!"

That's a wrap for October. Thanks to all friends and family that made it out!! I'll be at the November Cleveland Flea on November 23rd and 24th. More details coming soon!

  3. Devastated I missed those card catalogs! Desperately searching! I've been the early bird at every other flea. Figures. Kind of neat to see how different (and lovely packed!) it was after 2 p.m. See you next time! Your collection looks great.

    1. I called them card catalogs, but actually they were a little cooler than that! The drawers were vintage cigar boxes that someone had DIY'ed into drawers using a wood face and pulls. They went FAST!!! Hope to have some more cool stuff like that in November :) See you there!

  4. Funny, the blankets in your photo were the first thing that caught my eye. LOVE plaids like that. Congratulations on a great show. I had a blast doing the Sept. flea and can't wait to do some next year.
