I started finding other adorable Christmas displays using these Christmas Trees, which I found out are called Bottle Brush trees. A few of my faves:
via The Tortoise and the Hare
via Vintage Junk in My Trunk
via Cook Love Craft
I decided I wanted to start collecting these. Yup, a good ol' fashion collection just like the Trolls I collected when I was 10 -- and still have because I refuse to throw them away. Belly dancer troll and all her friends are gonna be worth some sweet moolah in a few years. Just wait...
Ok, back to my soon-to-be bottle brush Christmas tree collection. I've started to keep an eye out for them at sales and they haven't been too hard to find. I came across my first one at an antique store for 50 cents.
I had my camera on the wrong setting when I first took this picture but doesn't it kind've look like a real tree in a snow storm?
I then found some more at an estate sale -- about $1 for all 6 of these.
I mentioned something to my friend/neighbor Kristina (fellow garage sale lover) and her sweet little self found me this big guy.
That's the collection so far. I've got a whole garage sale season ahead of me to build the collection and just 7 more months until I get to put them on display!
